Traditional Naples Pizza Made the Authentic Way

The origin of pizza has been debated for years but on the whole Naples, Italy is considered the birthplace of modern pizza. Our desire is to prepare a pizza according to the traditions of the Naples region.

It starts with our Oven, built-in Naples, Italy, and extends to the flour, San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil pulled mozzarella cheese which we use in our signature pizzas. We have created a light slightly charred pizza that entices the pallet with freshness and complementary flavors.

At Red Oven, we are preserving the tradition of making Craft Neapolitan pizza. Come and Enjoy.

Built in 1886, this two-story building began as a bakery, operated by the Nemnich family until the 1940s and serving the local community through 1949. Around 1950, it was expanded and transformed into the Florissant Mortuary (later Hutchens Mortuary), which remained until the family moved to Graham Road in the 1970s. It later housed small offices before sitting vacant from the early ’90s—until Red Oven brought it back to life in 2020.

We set out to preserve the building’s historic charm while updating it for today. The storefront was rebuilt to match its original look, old-growth pine floors were repurposed, and the second-floor apartment was modernized with respect to its roots. The main floor was restructured and refreshed, blending past and present.

And yes—there’s a natural spring running underneath! Stay tuned for what’s next.
